Rangers will be hoping to close the ten point gap to league leaders Celtic when they travel to St. Johnstone this Sunday.
Believe it or not, based on the most recent four league games, it is St. Johnstone who come into this game with better form than Rangers.
Tommy Wright’s side have picked up eight points from a possible 12 and they’ve risen eighth in the table as a result.
Rangers, on the other hand, seem to have given up on the title race in the recent weeks. When the season resumed after the winter break, Rangers were top of the Scottish Premiership and had a one point advantage over Celtic.
A couple months on, and it’s Celtic who lead the way with a ten point gap between the Glasgow rivals. While Celtic have kept on winning, Rangers have been dropping points. In the last three weeks, Steven Gerrard’s men lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock, drew 0-0 at home with Aberdeen and, lost 2-1 to bottom of the table Hearts.
While they may no longer be favourites for the title. Rangers are still heavy favourites against St. Johnstone. Losing more ground on Celtic would be a potential season ender for Rangers who simply have to win this Sunday.
With that in mind, we’re going with the Gers to win on the handicaps at 10/11.
