Aberdeen host perennial Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, who come into this fixture in their usual relentless form.
This is the third meeting between these two sides this season and the second at Pittodrie, with Celtic registering an emphatic 4-0 victory on their last visit in October. They’re looking to make it three from three here.
Hosts Aberdeen haven’t been in good form but they did achieve a decent 3-1 win away to strugglers Hamilton, having gone four games without a win in the league. Curtis Main broke the deadlock after just 15 minutes and Niall McGinn doubled their advantage shortly afterwards on their way to a comfortable victory.
Celtic, meanwhile, have been in resplendent form with eight straight convincing wins since the season got back underway following the winter break, looking determined to settle a score after ending 2019 with a defeat to fierce rivals Rangers.
The aggregate scoreline of those eight wins is an incredible 25-3, keeping five clean sheets and conceding once on three occasions, with the latest display arguably the best yet, a 5-0 victory over Hearts, creating enough chances for it to be considerably more.
The hosts should provide a more formidable test than Celtic face most weeks, least of all in their midweek game against a sorry Hearts outfit, but Neil Lennon’s men are absolutely flying at present and will back themselves for another rout here, having scored at least three goals in each of their last four fixtures. We recommend backing a heavy victory here.
