Bayern Munich will be crowned Bundesliga champions again if they beat Werder Bremen on Tuesday night.
The bookies feel it’s more ‘when’ than ‘if’ though – they have Bayern at 1/6 for the three points which would see them claim the title with two games to spare.
So, as usual when it comes to Bayern, for punters it becomes about looking for goal-based value and that is arguably about them scoring four or more at 6/4.
Against the other members of the bottom eight, Bayern have managed this three times out of seven this season and they’d like nothing more than to clinch the title in the style with which they’ve become accustomed this season.
In addition, Bayern won the reverse fixture 6-1.
Bremen are trying to avoid their first relegation since 1980 and are giving it a decent go but the factor which has undermined their season – their home form – remains a weight around their ankles.
In four post-lockdown games, they’ve scored just one goal and lost three of their four games at the Weser-stadion.
They have still won just one home match all season and collected a league-low six home points.
Bremen did gain a confidence-boosting 5-1 win at the weekend, although that was at the only team below them in the table, Paderborn. This is a much different challenge and siding with Bayern to go for the jugular looks the best way of grabbing any value from the contest.
