Le Classique is always a highly anticipated fixture in the football calendar however, with the majority of PSG’s stars in quarantine, this may not turn out to be a memorable occasion for the Paris faithful.
The reigning French champions lost to newly promoted Lens on Thursday night but the 1-0 scoreline wasn’t too bad considering Thomas Tuchel’s side was without the likes of Di Maria, Icardi, Marquinhos, Mbappe, Navas, Pardes and Neymar.
This Sunday however, things will get a lot more difficult as Andre Villas-Boas is set to arrive with his Marseille side.
Despite the current situation, the bookmakers have priced PSG as the favourites at 4/7. Marseille, on the other hand, are currently available at 10/3.
The visitors did win their season opener two weeks ago but they didn’t make it look easy as Brest took them all the way in a 3-2 victory.
PSG have won five straight meetings between the two sides however, more significantly, their unbeaten streak against Marseille currently stands at 20 games.
Bearing this in mind, our recommendation is to back the draw which is currently priced at 7/2.
