Stade de France will play host to a Coupe de la Ligue final this Friday night as PSG take on Lyon in the capital.
The Paris outfit will be looking to claim their second piece of silverware in just seven days. This comes following their 1-0 win over St. Etienne in the Coupe de France final last Friday.
Unlike PSG, Lyon have not had the opportunity to play competitive football since games resumed in France. Instead, Rudi Garcia’s men have been playing regular friendlies as they try to find a bit of momentum ahead of the cup final.
Thankfully for the Lyon outfit, their performances during these friendlies haven’t been all that bad with the team managing four wins from five games; suffering just one defeat at the hands of Rangers.
Nevertheless, one of the main concerns for Lyon will be their defensive record. Garcia’s men have won the last two friendlies by the same 3-2 score line against Antwerp and Gent.
PSG, on the other hand, are yet to concede a goal since they returned to action. Thomas Tuchel’s men have already played four games and so far, they’ve scored 21 goals and conceded none. Arguably the most important of those wins was their 1-0 cup final triumph over St. Etienne last week.
With the Paris outfit in good form, it’s no surprise to see them priced as the 1/2 favourites. Lyon, meanwhile, are currently available at 19/4.
Our recommendation is to back PSG to win Friday’s encounter by two goals to nil. Not only is this bet well priced at 17/2 but with Tuchel’s men having already taken part in a competitive game they may have the edge over their opponents.
Also, let’s not forget about their star-studded squad.
