With only two points separating Sheffield United and the top four, Chris Wilder’s men will be hoping to pile more pressure on their rivals with a win over Brighton this weekend.
Following a run of three straight wins in all competitions, Sheffield will be looking to maintain this run when they welcome Brighton to Bramall Lane.
Wins over Millwall, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth not only helped United to improve their position in the league but also to progress in the FA Cup.
This weekend, they take on a Brighton side which is struggling for victories. Graham Potter’s men have picked up two wins from 16 games across all competitions; a run which sees them only three points above the drop zone.
The bookmarkers have made Sheffield the clear favourites at 10/11 – Brighton, on the other hand, are priced at 3/1.
It’s well documented that Sheffield don’t score many goals; in fact, 18th placed West Ham have scored more! Nevertheless, Wilder’s men do tend to win a majority of their games by the one goal margin. This to happen again is priced at 13/5 which clearly offers more value than the outright price.
