Monday evening sees the Premier League champions, Manchester City, host Sean Dyche's robust Burnley outfit
Burnley have a reputation as a tough and competitive opponent, but they've rarely had their way against Pep Guardiola's all-conquering City in recent years. They did manage a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor back in 2018, but otherwise City have won eight of the last nine meetings, while the last two clashes at the Etihad with Sean Dyche's Clarets have ended in resounding 5-0 victories.
With no game in hand, Burnley will have had an extra few days on the training pitch and extended break as they finally return to action here, while the hosts have a midweek clash with Arteta to help them get their match rhythm back up ahead of this.
Man City fell 25 points behind Liverpool before the suspension and almost certainly won't be regaining the title, but they're comfortably 2nd and will surely qualify for the Champions League next season, CAS appeal depending. They'll also be boosted by a fully-fit squad for this run-in, and boosted by the return of danger man Leroy Sane after his long-term injury kept him out of action since the season's curtain-raising Community Shield.
Burnley, meanwhile, were in decent form before the long suspension, unbeaten in their last seven Premier League outings with four wins, including a 2-0 win at Manchester United, and three draws. There's no suggestion that Dyche will have any players unavailable for this clash, though there are reports of fitness concerns over veteran defender Phil Bardsley.
We recommend backing City to get a resounding victory here. They've scored four or more goals in four of their last six meetings with Burnley. The hosts to win by four or more goals is available at 2/1.
