All but relegated Huddersfield Town welcome Wolverhampton to the John Smith’s stadium as they aim to continue their impressive winning run against the Wolves.
The words ‘win’ and ‘Huddersfield’ very rarely appear in the same sentence together. However, that’s not the case when you consider the Terriers’ record over Wolverhampton. Jan Siewert’s side have won all of their last four games against Wolves without conceding a single goal.
Huddersfield are currently winless in 15 games in all competitions and come into this latest clash in woeful form. Interestingly, their last victory came against Wolverhampton last November when a brace from Aaron Mooy sealed a rare win.
Nuno Santo’s side are in much better form having gone eight matches unbeaten in all competitions. What’s more, the Wolves have the third best defensive record when it comes to their away Premier League games; only Manchester City and Liverpool have conceded fewer goals on the road.
The Terriers, on the other hand, have lost their last seven league home matches. Only two teams have ever lost more, with Wolves losing nine in 2012 and Sunderland facing ten defeats between 2003 and 2005.
Considering the circumstances, Wolves are quite generously priced at 4/5. With this in mind, the visitors to win is the recommended bet.
There is also potential value in the anytime goalscorers market. Raul Jimenez has scored 10 Premier League goals this season and the forward is priced at 15/8 to score one more.
