Nottingham Forest will be looking to close the gap on the top two when they take on Millwall this Friday night.
Forest may be well in the hunt for a promotion place however, plucky little Millwall certainly cannot be underestimated. Since joining the club, Gary Rowett’s men have impressed and currently find themselves five points off the play-off places.
What’s more, Millwall tend to do quite well against Forest in recent times. In their last three encounters, the Lions picked up two victories and a hard-earned 2-2 away draw.
And if that’s not enough, what about Millwall’s home form. One defeat in nine games, five wins, and victories over the likes on Leeds, Preston and Sheffield Wednesday show just how strong the Lions are at the Den.
Bearing all this in mind, the bookmarkers have made the home side slight favourites at the price of 11/8. Forest meanwhile, are currently 19/10.
Despite Millwall’s strong home form, they have only managed to keep three sheets from nine games on their own turf. With that in mind, our recommendation is to go with a Millwall win and both teams to score at 9/2.
Millwall will be without midfielder Ryan Leonard as they prepare to host Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Leonard was expected to return for the Championship clash but will be sidelined for longer than expected with a rib injury.
Goalkeeper Frank Fielding has been closing in on a return to action and could make his post-injury comeback at the weekend. Shane Ferguson and Shaun Hutchinson are out with injuries, as are Tom Elliott (hamstring) and Jason McCarthy (toe).
Nottingham Forest look to extend their four-game unbeaten run as they head to the Den sitting fourth in the league. Manager Sabri Lamouchi will be without defender Carl Jenkinson (ankle) and midfielder Samba Sow (hamstring), who are yet to regain sufficient fitness after injuries.
Yuri Ribeiro will also miss out due to a knee injury, with the fixture falling slightly too soon for the defender. Ryan Yates will be available, however, having served the three-match ban he was awarded for a red card at Bristol City.
Millwall to win and both teams to score – 9/2 bet365*
