Millwall will monitor Mason Bennett ahead of Bristol City clash
Millwall manager Gary Rowett has a strong squad to choose from for his side’s home game against Bristol City.
The fit-again Mason Bennett made his first start for the club on Wednesday night after recovering from an ankle injury but it remains to be seen if the on-loan Derby forward can play twice in four days after a lengthy lay-off.
The likes of Matt Smith and Connor Mahoney could come into Rowett’s thinking as the Lions look for a first win at The Den since January 18.
Frank Fielding, Shaun Williams and Ben Thompson remain out. Thompson has seen a specialist, seeking the go-ahead to resume training before a likely return next month.
City boss Lee Johnson could make changes following the midweek loss at Huddersfield.
Johnson was left frustrated by his side’s display against the Terriers as his team slipped to a third straight defeat.
The likes of Ashley Williams, Andreas Weimann, Han-Noah Massengo and Niclas Eliasson could come into Johnson’s thinking for the trip.
Korey Smith has been out with a knee problem in recent weeks but he is nearing a return as the Robins look to get their play-off challenge back on track against opponents who will leapfrog them in the table with a victory.
