Champions Leeds United will be looking to close out the season on a high when they take on a relegation threatened Charlton side this Wednesday night.
The Whites turned on the style towards the end of this season having won six of their last seven games. Marcelo Bielsa’s men are flying which is no surprise to see them priced at 4/6.
Charlton are currently above the relegation zone by virtue of goal difference and they will be desperate to win all three points at Elland Road. A loss to Leeds would mean the Addicks would have to rely on both Luton and Barnsley losing their respective games.
Lee Bowyer’s men are currently priced at 18/5 meaning they are considered the overwhelming underdogs. However, their record against Leeds would suggest otherwise.
Charlton have won four of their last six encounters with the Whites while losing none in the process. In fact, Leeds have only recorded one win over the Addicks from 12 games.
Another incredible stat is that Leeds have failed to beat Charlton in all of their last eight meetings at Elland Road. Their last home win over the London outfit came all the way back in the year 2000 when both clubs were playing Premier League football.
Bearing these stats and the current relegation situation in mind, our recommendation is to go for a price play and back Charlton to win this game at 18/5.
