After the opening three matchdays in the Belarusian Premier League, there is only one team remaining with a perfect record – Energetik-BGU Minsk.
The team managed by Vladimir Belyavskiy and Anatoly Yurevich will be looking to maintain their undefeated start to the season when they take on Zhodino.
Wins over BATE Borisov, Rukh Brest and rivals FC Minsk have seen Energetik climb to the very top of the table. While it’s still very early on in the season, fans will undoubtedly be impressed with their team’s performance in March.
Looking at the odds ahead of this clash against Zhodino, it’s clear that the bookmakers have acknowledged the threat that Energetik possess. Nevertheless, the team still offer some value at 5/2.
The one major cause for concern is the fact that the Minsk side historically struggle against Zhodino. With only one win from their last eight meetings, it’s clear they don’t normally look forward to this fixture.
However, this season has been like no other and Energetik’s historical struggles against Zhodino are unlikely to play a major part in this game.
One thing we can take away though, is the fact that both sides do tend to produce high scoring affairs whenever they clash. With that in mind, our recommendation is to back an Energetik win and both teams to score at 11/2.
This bet landed the last time these two sides met, with Energetik claiming a 2-1 victory.
