West Ham United v Newcastle United - Match Report

West Ham United 2-0 Newcastle United

Declan Rice and Mark Noble both struck in the first half as West Ham cruised to a 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday.

A Robert Snodgrass corner found the head of Rice for the opening goal of the game at the London Stadium after just seven minutes.
Newcastle defender Florian Lejeune's foul on Javier Hernandez in the box saw the Hammers awarded a penalty on 42 minutes and Noble made no mistake from the spot.
Salomon Rondon did go close for the Magpies but the north east outfit offered very little going forward, in what proved to be a comfortable win for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Those three points for the Hammers lifts them up to ninth place in the Premier League table, while Newcastle remain six points clear of the relegation places in 14th spot.
